Valentine Pop-Up Card in a Box

I turned my Card in a Box Flower Basket die into a basket bursting full of hearts for my Valentine.

To highlight the versatility of this die, I decided to vary the look of the basket part of the card. You can see how it looks with the interchangeable basket weave here. For my Valentine card, I die cut the front of the basket as a solid shape. I used the Sizzix Foil Adhesive Sheet in Rose Gold applied to white card stock and die cut the basket twice.

I folded the creases then ran it through my Woven 3D Textured Impression embossing folder to give it the basket texture.

I varied the cross tabs in the center of the basket when assembling. I did not die cut a handle shape. I die cut three of the square inserts and cut them in half. I assembled the basket and thicker cross tabs in the same way as my other Flower Basket project but used a regular thicker cross tab instead of the handle piece.

Finally, I used the two heart shapes from my Spring Things die set and die cut three each of eight different colors of pinks and red card stock to make lots of layering options.

The entire card folds flat and will fit inside an A2 envelope.
