I don’t remember when or where I got this crazy inspiration to turn my Tropicool Banner die into candy corn as a Halloween home decor piece but I did and here it is.
Just like last year when I turned my succulent cactus into a pumpkin HERE, I now turned my tropical banner into a bunch of candy corn and added some Halloween fun.
I cut a strip of 6 inch wide orange cardstock. On this I adhered a strip of 1 3/4 inch wide yellow cardstock at the top and a 1 3/4 inch strip of white cardstock at the bottom as shown. I centered the Tropicool Banner die on this and cut several banner shapes.
I attached five candy corn shapes together using black ribbon. The banners have hanging holes die cut into the top corners to make this super easy.
I stamped and die cut the Halloween shapes from a couple of Tim Holtz/Sizzix stamp and die sets that may no longer be available but you can use whatever fun Halloween embellishments you have.
I also added some die cut cob webs between some of the banner shapes just to add a bit of spooky fun. I used opaque white StazOn ink to stamp the words on black cardstock.
Hope you enjoy this idea of adding a little tropicool vibe to your Halloween decor.

Great idea! And I love the spiderwebs between the pennants too!
