Here’s another way to use your Sizzix Succulents 2-D & 3-D dies for a totally different look. They look like succulents if you add the spines but, if created without the spines, they make great pumpkin decor just in time for the Autumn holidays.
Begin by die cutting ten barrel cactus shapes from the Succulent 2-D & 3-D die set. I die cut four sets in various shades of orange.
To make the edges stand out, I applied some Distress Ink in Tea Stain along the edges.
Beginning with one set of ten shapes, I folded them in half.
Once all of the pieces were folded, I applied adhesive on one side and began adhering them with the folds facing the same direction.
Once all ten pieces were adhered together, I applied adhesive to the last half and adhered it to the first piece creating a full circle.
To complete the pumpkins, I glued small twigs for the stems. I used a 2 inch piece of copper wire, wrapped it around a stick and glued it as the vine.
