When Thrifting Fibers Make You Giddy

Truly an example of a “Kid in a candy store” was the best way to describe my giddiness when I walked into the “weft-overs” section of the Southern California Handweavers Guild annual exhibit and sale event. Tons of yarn in small quantities and lots of colors which is perfect for the kind of stitching I enjoy. Even more enticing were the bits of silk and unspun wool fibers. The colors made me swoon. I didn’t know what I would do with them at the time but I knew that I had to have them. I have since decided on a project and the colors still make me swoon.
