I made this sweet and simple Snow White character dress box while playing with variations on my Dress Favor Box die. Imagine all of the princess boxes you can make with this.
Supplies needed are card stock in yellow, dark blue, red and light blue, the Sizzix Dress Box die, BigShot machine and adhesive {I used liquid}
Die cut two of the dress fronts, two of the dress sides and one of the dress bottom out of yellow card stock. Die cut an additional dress front out of the dark blue card stock. You don’t have to die cut the entire dress, just about 2/3 of the top part. Die cut two light blue sleeves, instructions below. And hand cut six small red pieces for the sleeves.
To create the sleeves, use the bow die, included in this set, and die cut two shapes as shown in the left photo below. Trim these shapes as shown in the right image and keep the center pieces to use for the sleeves.
Adhere the light blue sleeves to the dress front as shown.
For the dress front bodice, hand cut along the bottom of the dark blue piece as shown.
Adhere the dark blue bodice to the front of the dress.
Adhere the red pieces to the sleeves.
To construct the dress box, fold along all crease lines in the dress sides and bottom.
1. Adhere the back of the dress to the base along the bottom tab. 2. Adhere the front of the dress to the base. 3. Adhere both sides of the dress to the base. 4. Add adhesive to the tabs of the dress sides and adhere to the front and back of the dress. 5. The box opening will look like the bottom two images. 6. Hook the tabs to close the box {last photo}.
This dress box can be playful, fancy or sophisticated. Check out how I made this into a beautiful wedding favor box . What ideas can you think of?
