Crank up the steel drums, sit back and enjoy the Tropicool Vibes of this Instax photo display.

This photo display combines my Instax Photo Stand and Travel Photo Frame together with the tropical toucan, leaves and flower from my Tropicool Slider card and Tropicool Leaves card front. Using a piece of clear plastic creates the illusion of the tropical leaves floating around the photo.

Here’s a quick video showing how easy this is to make.

Below are a few more tips on how to customize your own Tropicool Floating Photo Display.

Instax_photo_frame_die
I used the interchangeable word die “Wander” from the Photo Frame, Travel set and placed it inside the Photo Stand die before running it through the BigShot machine. Any of the interchangeable words or border pieces from any of the Picture This! collection of dies can be used in this way.

Fold and adhere the ends to create the photo stand. Here’s a tip: if you need to add a little extra weight to stabilize the stand, add paper clips before sealing up the base.

There are so many different frame shapes to choose from. Just select a cardstock color of your choice and die cut a frame to match your Instax photo.

I cut a 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of clear plastic from a recycled Sizzix Bigz die packaging. Die cut and adhere the various leaves, flowers and a toucan to create this tropical floating vignette.

Insert the plastic into the stand and then slip in your framed Instax photo behind. You can easily change the photo, the frame or the tropical plastic vignette.
