Vintage Button Easter Egg – Flashback

I have collected a lot of vintage buttons over the years so I had plenty to choose from when I designed this set of repurposed button Easter Eggs.

I started with plastic Easter Eggs as the foundation. I used hot glue to attach various sizes of white buttons allowing the color of the plastic egg to show through. This is a great way to repurpose tiny white buttons.

Everything used in this project has been thrifted. The wooden pieces that they are displayed on was painted with white acrylic paint then lightly sanded to give them a more distressed appearance.

I finished each egg by wrapping lace and sheer pastel ribbon. The final touch was adding a vintage rhinestone earring, an old skeleton key and a tiny millinery flower.

Happy Easter!
