Father’s Day Gift Tag

Welcome to the Designer Crafts Connection project for June. This month’s theme is Father’s Day or Fourth of July. I chose to do a quick and easy gift tag for Father’s Day using my Mini Photo Embellishing dies by Sizzix. This post contains Affiliate Links. See details posted above.

I started with some vintage tags that my sister gave me. I applied Distress Inks in Peeled Paint, Evergreen Bough, Forest Moss and Tea Dye using water to blend the colors before dragging the tag across the inks.

I stamped the scratch marks using the Tim Holtz, Stampers Anonymous Slight Alterations rubber stamp and Tea Dye ink.

I die cut the word “Celebrate” out of the tag using my Photo Frame, Holidays die set. The hat, glasses, mustache and necktie were all die cut from the Photo Frame & Props die set. I used striped washi tape on a piece of cardstock to create the necktie.

I had some ink leftover so I created another background to use for another project.
