My One Little Word for 2017

Happy New Year!

I decided that this year that I will not make a regular new year’s resolutions but instead, I will work on living with my One Little Word. If you aren’t familiar with the concept of the One Little Word, please check out Ali Edwards blog HERE. I don’t do this as a formal project but rather as a discipline similar to a New Year’s Resolution.

My one little word is “Change” and I chose it because it has so many variables. If something isn’t working then you need to change it. If that isn’t possible then you need to change how you think about it. This can be anything from your wardrobe to how you organize to how you deal with people.

As you can see, I’ve already made a big change in my life by learning to make videos. Thinking up and creating projects is the easy part. And I have no problem explaining the steps needed to recreate the project. What was difficult was that I also had to learn how to build and light a studio, how to record the video, how to edit the video, how to upload the video and how to integrate YouTube with my website. There is a big learning curve in transitioning to video tutorials but all of my big and little steps have created a change in my life already. I may still have a long way to go but I have started the change and it feels good.

I hope to make little changes in many different areas of my life so that next year, at this same time, I will be able to look back and see the big difference that my One Little Words has made in my life.

Happy New Year!
