Instant Fun With Instax Photo Banners

Today I’m sharing some fun ways to instantly display your Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 photos using my new collection of Mini Photo Embellishing dies and stamps by Sizzix. {Instax Mini 8 photos are similar to Polaroid instant photos but are about the size of a credit card}.

Since the holidays are right around the corner, here’s a fun idea to decorate for a holiday party. Pre-cut the Banners and Photo Frames, set up your Fujifilm Instax Share Printer or Instax Mini 8 camera and let your guest shoot photos and decorate at the party. To creates these DIY Decor banners, I used the Photo Banner, Photo Frame & Props, Photo Frame, Holidays and Photo Frame & Words.

I designed this Sizzix Photo Banner die so that the Instax Mini 8 photos would easily slip into the corner slot already diecut into the banner – no adhesive necessary! But I also designed those little holes on the top so that they HOOK onto a string or baker’s twine instead of being threaded onto the string. This makes them easy to reposition. The photo above is an example of how my coworkers embellished their own photos using three different Frames; Photo Frame, Holidays, Photo Frame & Props and Photo Frame & Borders. The difference is in the corners of the frames surrounding the photos. The interchangeable words are from Photo Frame & Words.

The fun part is that this set comes with lots of decorative floral shapes. All of the flowers, leaves and hearts that you see above come as part of this set. Even the heart with arrows at the top of the banner is an interchangeable die that can be used with other photo frames in this collection. Banners are a quick and easy way to decorate so here are some embellished examples. The Banner die has an area along the top for interchangeable words and borders to be added. Here I left the banner solid by not including an interchangeable die. I embellished this with the Photo Frame, Holidays, Mini Album and a clear stamp from the Memories set.

For this banner, I die cut the leaves included with this banner die. The words are die cut using the Photo Frame & Words set. Any of the words or border shapes can be interchanged on either the top of the Banner or on any of the Photo Frames. I love how you can create simple phrases this way.

This last example has the geo marker and ticket shapes from the Mini Album set. The word Love is from the clear stamp Memories set. And the words are from the Photo Frame, Words set.
