Oly*Fun Geometric Metallic Pillow

Welcome to Designer Crafts Connection Oly*Fun sponsored Blog Hop. Oly*Fun material is unique to work with because it doesn’t fray which opens up so many possibilities. The metallic colors are especially trendy which gave me the idea of creating a graphic throw pillow. Please check out the instructions below as well as entering to win some Oly*Fun {Contest is now closed}.Oly_Fun_Pillow2

I used the Sizzix SMALL SIMPLE WEDGE DIE to cut the triangles in silver and gold Oly*Fun material then appliqued them onto a backing fabric. The Oly*Fun material felt a little too thick to piece together with a seam but since the edges do not fray, it was simple to applique. For added interest I included a vertical band of Rose Gold Oly*Fun on the front.

I’ve included detailed instructions here:  Oly_Fun_Geometric_Pillow_Instructions.

After I made this pillow I realized that this could have also been a trendy tote bag. I like the high-metallic shine of this material yet it is so easy to cut and sew.

Please check out all of the projects by the talented designers at the Designer Crafts Connection Blog Hop and make sure to ENTER TO WIN the Oly*Fun Bolt of material giveaway while you’re there.
