Dimensional Holiday Matchbox Cards

Since I had so much fun with the Hipster Santa tags, I decided that instead of giving flat, “normal” Christmas cards to my friends at work this year, that I would make something a little more dimensional and a bit unexpected. These are so quick and easy to make using the Sizzix Tim Holtz Matchbox […]

Hipster Santa Christmas Tags – DCC December Link up

Welcome to the Designer Crafts Connection December link up. What started off as a fun, offbeat project for my December DCC post combining several shapes from my Sizzix Mini Photo Embellishing die collection turned into a great make ‘n take at the recent Sizzix Maker Faire. I started by cutting the kraft paper tag shape using […]

My Sewing Notions Wreath as Published in Homespun Magazine

So excited to share that my sewing notions wreath has been published in the December 2016 issue of Homespun magazine. This was such a fun project created completely out of thrifted, vintage sewing notions. I originally made this wreath in honor of my mother who taught me to sew. On this wreath are vintage button cards, spools, […]

Today I’m sharing some fun ways to instantly display your Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 photos using my new collection of Mini Photo Embellishing dies and stamps by Sizzix. {Instax Mini 8 photos are similar to Polaroid instant photos but are about the size of a credit card}. Since the holidays are right around the corner, here’s […]

Translucent Paper Star Lights

I recently designed a star-shaped box for the Sizzix eClips2 electronic cutting machine. You can find it in the eShape Store HERE. I use this machine all of the time at work and finally had a moment to design the Star Box just for the eClips. This is a 3D Star Box but it has so many more uses. […]

Merry Christmas – Flashback

This has been the busiest Christmas season EVER! Besides the typical Christmas hustle and bustle, it is also the time when we are preparing for the big Craft and Hobby Association trade show in a couple of weeks. That means home AND work life is exceptionally hectic right now. The good news is that I […]

Blooming Christmas Stocking

I designed this Christmas stocking a few years ago for publication in Inspired Ideas. magazine. It was so exciting to be published. It has been a few years so I can now share the instructions and pattern here. The magic behind the “blooming” is using 100% cotton fabrics and a very hot dryer as the last step.

Cheerful Christmas Monsters

I like making little Christmas gifts for my friends. This year is extra special because I used one of my own die designs, the Monster which isn’t the first design you might think of for a Christmas ornament but even monsters can add a bit of cheer.
