About Me

I am Lynda with a Y. I am a Maker and a Doer, an Artist, a Crafter and a Designer. I am guilty of having too many interests and not enough time to do everything. My passion is to explore and make things with as much joy and happiness as possible.

The Story So Far

My interests have always been to make something. I paint, draw, sew, crochet, scrapbook, stitch and die cut every chance I get. I spend a lot of time making things.

My earliest memory is watching my mother sew on the sewing machine and wishing I were tall enough to reach the pedal. When I was finally tall enough to use the sewing machine, I made a stuffed llama out of green remnants (seriously, a green llama that I probably still have somewhere).

I went on to earn a BA degree in Graphic Design and designed advertising, books and packaging. During my career as a graphic designer I’ve always crafted as a hobby. Scrapbooking was my obsession of choice.

With great good fortune, I became a graphic designer at Ellison/Sizzix. At first, I designed their packaging, catalogs and advertising. Eventually I became a Product Designer and had the time of my life!

My next chapter came when I was given the opportunity to design for i-crafter. It was a wonderful experience but I decided to move on due to Covid.

What’s Next?

My next chapter has now begun as a licensed designer for Trinity Stamps. And the best part is that I have time to create more projects and teach others new techniques here on this blog. I’m so much more than a paper crafter so watch for projects using fabric, mixed media and anything else I can find.

Please join me as I share this happy adventure of living a creative life!
