A Friendly Halloween Raven Collage, Hand-Drawn and Appliquéd – Pt. 1

In Part 1 of my hand-drawn raven collage, I will show you how I took my drawing and turned it into layers of thrifted, upcycled fabric to create the start of a not-so-spooky Halloween tribute to my favorite ravens.

This smaller appliqué project allowed me to pull from my over-stuffed stash of thrifted fabrics. It actually feels good to create with materials that would otherwise have gone to the landfill.

I can’t wait to start slow stitching and adding additional fibers and more to both the bird and the background to create texture to this piece. In Part 2, I will share the joy of embellishing this piece so please be sure and hit the bell to be notified when I upload Part 2 of my appliquéd raven.

There is still so much more to stitch and explore. Please join me in this creative journey and let’s make something beautiful together!
