Hand stitch a hand drawn sardine to make an embroidered patch

This project began with my original hand-drawn artwork available as a die and stamp set from Trinity Stamps. I decided to redraw my art to create some fun embroidery patches. I started with one sardine patch and plan to make more.

This video also shares my thought process as I redraw the sardines for stitching instead of coloring. The transition was very simple but the results are very different. I plan to have the art available for download in the future.

If you’re looking for inspiration to create your own DIY embroidery patch, or want to learn how to incorporate original artwork into fabric art, this video is for you. Imagine the patches you can make with your own art!

There is still so much more to stitch and explore. Please join me in this creative journey and let’s make something beautiful together!
