Sewing the lining and assembling the completed Reversible, Tattered Denim Vessel
Welcome to Part 3 where I complete and assemble the Reversible, Tattered Denim Vessel! In this third part of my textile art tutorial, I combine thrifted, faux feedsack fabrics to create a colorful lining to make this a fully reversible vessel.
Parts 1 and 2 had lots of slow stitching and now, in Part 3, I break out the sewing machine and whip up the inside lining. This is all done with thrifted, fabrics at little to no cost. If you love textile art with repurposed textiles, this video is for you! We’ll finish the custom fabric vessel liner using easy machine sewing and then assemble the tattered denim vessel, resulting in a functional, reversible and adaptable art piece full of character and texture.
Check out Parts 1 and 2 for the full process from where to source tattered denim to slow stitching everything together.
There is still so much more to stitch and explore. Please join me in this creative journey and let’s make something beautiful together!
