Combine a Thrifted Hawaiian Shirt, Modern Embroidery and a Variety of Threads to Make Textile Art – Part 1
In Part 1, I show you how to start with a thrifted Hawaiian shirt and easily transform it into a stunning slow stitch, modern embroidery textile art piece. Combine various yarns, floss and fibers to create a vibrant and unique creation.
Join me as I explore colors and textures in Part 1 of this tropical project. Give yourself permission to combine bold colors as bright as a Hawaiian landscape. This is a great way to experiment with various fibers and fabrics. I also did a lot of the stitching while on a camping trip so watch to the end of the video for scenes and surprises from my trip.
Join me next time for Part 2 when I complete this tropical piece and add it to my Stitch Notebook.
