Finishing the Inside Back Cover of the Slow Stitch Notebook.
In Part 8 of my Slow Stitch Notebook, I am completing the stitching of the inside back cover. There was a slight mishap with hand-dying and lots of learning different techniques to make these flowers.
The goal of this Slow Stitch Notebook is to give purpose to experimental creative stitchery projects. Never have I ever: stitched 3D flowers, tried ribbon stitching (without actually using ribbon) or cutting into vintage velvet ribbon. This was a fun way to explore new techniques with some more successful than others.
Finding solutions while working with a limited selection of vintage supplies is exciting and challenging. Using Inktense Blocks to color fabrics and fibers adds so many more options to your supplies. From limitations come creative solutions.
There is still so much more to stitch and explore. Please join me in this creative journey and let’s make something beautiful together!
