Designing a Slow Stitch Notebook Cover to Wrap Around a 3-Ring Binder – But Wait! There’s So Much More
If you enjoy slow stitching and are looking for a way to display your creations then follow along as I begin this slow stitch notebook project. This is just the beginning of a long-term solution of what to do with all of the bits of slow stitching that you create. The best part is that it is a solution to a question so many slow stitchers have but it is also a lovely reason to pull out your stash of fabrics and vintage doilies to create something extraordinary.
Part 1 is the beginning of the beginning. In this video I will lay out the basics of how to make the cover and explain some of my thought processes behind my choices of fabrics I choose. There will be more parts to this embellishing process which I will share in Part 2 of this series.
MATERIALS
- Fabrics: Background fabric enough to cover notebook, scrap fabric for embellishing
- Flannel or felt
- Doilies and lace
- Thread
- Gauze (optional)
