Try something fresh and familiar when you start with your favorite stamps and experiment with a few stitching techniques
Have you tried Stitch Your Stamps? No rules, no pressure, just pick a stamp in your stash, gather a few supplies and start stitching. And maybe, every once in a while, explore a new stitch technique to keep things fresh. This video shows my first time trying the Bullion Stitch. So go through your stash of stamps, find some fabric, embroidery floss and needles (save money with thrifted supplies if possible), and try something new. This is a totally fresh new way to embellish your stamps.
MATERIALS
- Fabrics: medium, open weave background in white
- Embroidery floss: DMC 187, 349, 601, 603, 892, 894
- Perle/Pearl Cotton threads
- Seed beads (optional)

Bullion Stitch
This stitch can vary in length depending on how many wraps you make on the needle. It can also form a straight or curved shape depending on how far apart the beginning and ending stitches are located. And you can wind the floss in either direction depending on what feels comfortable for you.

French Knot
This stitch can vary depending on how many wraps before inserting the needle back into the fabric
