Combine Die Cutting, Applique, Embroidery and Thrifting to Create This Kokeshi Kutie
Start with a cute little Japanese die cut doll, add some tea-dyed fabric, vintage thrifted kimono fabrics, a bit of applique and embroidery to create a sweet little piece. So many bits of lucky thrift finds came together to make this but you can create your own applique kokeshi dolls using fabric scraps that you already have.

MATERIALS
- Fabrics: decorative for the kimono, white cotton for the doll and sock
- Felt: black
- Embroidery floss
- Thread
- Seed beads (optional)



Lazy Daisy Stitch
Repeat stitch five times radiating from the center
