Using Dies, Stamps and Embroidery to Embellish a Card!

Here’s an idea for something totally different this World Card Making Day, include embroidery in your card. Just as you would use markers or pencils to color and shade your stamped designs, try “painting” with embroidery floss colors to shade and color your stamps. Truly a relaxing and mindful way to spend your time.


TOOLS

  • Classic Circles die
  • Dashed Circles dies
  • Die cutting machine
  • Papillon stamp by Tim Holtz
  • Adhesive: liquid and foam sheet

MATERIALS

  • Embroidery floss: DMC 718, 828, 839, 840, 842, 995, 996, 3608, 3609, 3766
  • Embroidery fabric
  • Archival ink; Jet black
  • White card stock, heavy 270 gsm
  • Card stock to coordinate with stitched art
