Discover a New Way to Create With Your Stamps
Look through your stash of stamps to find designs that you love. With just a few simple embroidery stitches and materials, you can rediscover the joy of working with these stamps. These embroidery pieces are so easy to do, they are small so they work up really quickly. You can use them to practice your stitches or frame it as a small piece of art. Experiment with textures like the beads or vary the size and style of stitches.
Three little fun facts I use to help save money when experimenting with stitching my stamps; 1) Check yardage stores for remnants. You can find great fabrics at a fraction of the cost. 2) Shop garage sales for outdated beaded jewelry. I’ve found unique beads at great prices. 3) Shop your stamp stash. Stamps with mostly outlined areas are the easiest to stitch because you won’t have large areas of ink to cover. Look for stamps that have a variety of areas to use different stitches. And the bonus fun fact: stitching can be very therapeutic.
