TOOLS
- Scissors
- Liquid adhesive
- Template download
MATERIALS
- Recycled brown paper bag
- Easter grass embellishment
- Decorated Easter Eggs of your choice
DOWNLOAD AND PRINT
Download and print this template. Before cutting, be sure that the template has printed out at full size by measuring the test square at the bottom. It should be exactly 1 inch by 1 inch.

PIECES
Print the template and lay it on a piece of brown paper bag. Cut two strips at 7″ wide by 1/2″ high. Cut the larger piece at 6″ wide by 2 1/8″ high. Do not cut along the dotted line at the top. Cut the vertical lines at 1/2″ widths.

WEAVING
With one of the long strips, start weaving over and under across the short, vertical strips.

Weave the second long strip under then over as the second row

Align the left side of the horizontal strips along the left edge of the vertical strips

Fold every other top flap forward to secure the top horizontal strip in place

Flip the whole thing over and fold the remaining top flaps forward

Adhere the flaps

Flip over the piece and adhere the flaps on the other side

The piece should look like this

FINISHING
Create a ring by bringing the ends of the horizontal strips around to make a circle. I drew arrows on the ends of the horizontal strips to better show how to finish the ends. Weave the first horizontal end behind the second vertical strip. The image shows the center strip being woven first

Weave the second horizontal strip behind the third vertical strip.

Note that one vertical strip will be overlapped

Apply adhesive to secure any loose ends

This is a great way to recycle those brown paper bags. Add some paper grass and your own decorated Easter Eggs to make a quick, festive Easter centerpiece. Happy Easter!
