Dimensional Holiday Matchbox Cards

Since I had so much fun with the Hipster Santa tags, I decided that instead of giving flat, “normal” Christmas cards to my friends at work this year, that I would make something a little more dimensional and a bit unexpected.

These are so quick and easy to make using the Sizzix Tim Holtz Matchbox die and several embellishing dies from my Mini Photo Embellishing collect. Besides making some Hipster Santas, I had a lot of fun with simple phrases using interchangeable word dies from several of my die sets.

These were some of my favorites. All of them are different and all of them use either my word dies or embellishing prop dies.

On some I added washi tape and die cut the words out of the cardstock and washi tape.

On others, I die cut words out of the matchbox inserts and used foam tape to make them “float” inside the box.
