Welcome to the Designer Crafts Connection December link up. What started off as a fun, offbeat project for my December DCC post combining several shapes from my Sizzix Mini Photo Embellishing die collection turned into a great make ‘n take at the recent Sizzix Maker Faire.

I started by cutting the kraft paper tag shape using a die from the Mini Album set. It is the perfect size for a tag or can be used as a page embellishment.

For the Bow tie Santa above, I used the Photo Frame, Holidays for the hat, beard and glasses. The bow tie is from the Photo Frame & Props set. I adhered washi tape to card stock and die cut. The small pattern on washi tape works well on these small pieces.

This mustache Santa is from the Photo Frame, Holidays for the hat and beard. The glasses and mustache are from Photo Frame & Props set. I applied Xyron on the card stock before cutting the detailed shapes.

This cool Santa is made from the Photo Frame, Holidays hat and beard as well. The Santa hat is die cut from patterned paper to look like a knit cap. The sunglasses are from the Mini Album set.

These designs turned into a quick make ‘n take project for my demo booth at the Sizzix DIY Maker Faire recently. These were adhered on wooden ornaments. They made a lot of people smile and laugh which was fun to watch.

I also made this poinsettia tag that everyone enjoyed. It is created from the leaf die in the Photo Banner set.

Cut five each of the light red “leaves” and dark red “leaves plus three dark green “leaves”. Layer and adhere as shown. The gold dots in the center were cut from the “hole” in tag shape. Just another fun way to use these dies.
