Today I’m sharing how to use my many Sizzix Mini Photo Embellishing dies and stamps on planner pages. These dies and stamps were designed to embellish both the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 small, Polaroid-like photos as well as various planner pages. These fun shapes work well with or without photos. You can see one example of a planner page that I designed while glamping here.

I discovered Personal-Planner.com last year after trying in vain to find a unique planner that wasn’t just like everyone else’s. The size was perfect, 5 3/4″ x 8″ and you can customize the layout of the pages. I immediately fell in love with this planner.

I had to hide a few areas in my photos because I further customized my planner with die cut shapes that haven’t been released yet. I just designed and ordered my planner for 2017 and customized the art on the front and back covers using my own illustrations.sizzix_instax_planner_page
This is Thanksgiving week and it was hectic to say the least. The Photo Frame, Words worked perfectly to highlight my chaotic Monday. Because of the short holiday week, I had a lot of designs to create and I suddenly came up with a new design on Tuesday so I wanted to highlight that using die cut shapes from the Mini Album and Photo Frame, Props plus lightbulb stamps from the Memories clear stamp set.sizzix_instax_planner_leftBelow, I die cut the arrow using a shape from the Mini Album set. The vertical flags are from the same set. “Smile” is from the Photo Frame, Words set. It is die cut from a piece of paper washi tape. The orange border is from the Photo Frame, Borders set cut from paper washi tape. The little flag on the right is from the Paper Clippables set. All stamps are from the Memories Clear Stamp set.
sizzix_instax_planner_rightThanksgiving day started off calmly until my Dear Handyman had an asthma attack and had to be rushed to ER that night. I was able to get three hours of sleep before getting up to teach a workshop at Scrapbooking Made Simple the next morning.

Now that I’ve caught up on my sleep and my Dear Handyman is recovering, I realize how thankful I am for this crazy week. I am so thankful that Hoag Hospital of Irvine took such good care of my Dear Handyman. I am thankful for the Paramedics and Ambulance crew that treated and transported him so quickly. I am thankful he is recovering. I am thankful for my son and his close call. I am thankful for all of the blessings that I receive. Life isn’t perfect but I am thankful that I have this wonderful opportunity to share it.

I would also like to thank Stacey from Scrapbooking Made Simple and Sizzix for the opportunity to teach a workshop using my Alphabet, Photo Banner and Photo Frame dies. My passion is to design art but I’ve discovered a real love for teaching others how to use my designs in different ways.scrapbooking_made_simple_stacey
