The Craft and Hobby Association Winter 2016 Tradeshow in Anaheim, CA is only a few days away and it is time to start sharing a few sneak peeks of what’s new from Sizzix for 2016.
I am excited about the new line of 6″ x 12″ paper pads created by the entire Sizzix design team. The colors are on trend including solids and patterns that are so versatile.
These are two sided papers that mix and match in so many playful ways. My first project was to make a bouquet of flowers to showcase the solid colors. I began by die cutting flowers using the Tattered Pinecone die. If you roll them loosely they look like flowers instead of a pinecone.
I added some thrifted florist wire to use as the stems.
After the flowers were loosely rolled, I use a small, 1/8″ punch on the base of each flower. I pushed the florist wire through the bottom of the hole and applied hot glue to hold the stem and flower in place.
I love the sweet, cheerful colors in these paper pads.
I also used the various patterned papers to create lots of other projects that I will share later. These flowers are packed and ready to go to CHA with me.

Love the colors and patterns! Thanks for sharing them with us at Brag About It!
Happy New Year!
